In the town I grew up in, the rednecks after school would hang out at the Texaco. I think it is just a common thing for either kids to do (because their only real options are mall and movie) or for people who live in a small town (because thier only real options are mall, movie, and bar).
But hey, you have to adapt to your environment and if you only have so many options. Still for me, if it came down to a wal mart parking lot hanging out in my car. or having some friends over to my house, i think HOUSE wins 10 out of 10.
